Miriam Stöcklin
Associate Costume Designer
Miriam Stöcklin graduated in 2011 in fashion design from the FHNW Academy of Art and Design, Basel. During her studies, she spent one semester in London, working for fashion designer Todd Lynn, gaining first-hand experience in working in the industry.
Career Highlights
Shortly after graduating, Miriam worked for Sruli Recht, a versatile designer in many fields, then based in Reykjavik. She became his first assistant, managing the development and planning of his upcoming collections, as well as organising the running production process. In 2012, she returnedto Basel and began to work as a costume supervisor at Theater Basel. Her latest project in Basel was La traviata, directed by Daniel Kramer in 2017, for which she was costumes production manager. This is also where she met costume designer Esther Bialas and began her close collaboration.
Theatre work at Theater Basel includes: Three Sisters, Angels in America, The night just before the forests.
Opera work at Basel includes: Donnestag aus Licht, Macbeth, Die Zauberflöte, Hölderlin – an expedition, Daphne, La damnation de Faust.
