Teresa Rotemberg

Teresa Rotemberg was born in Buenos Aires. For nearly 20 years she has led her Zurich-based dance theatre company Mafalda. Her productions have been seen in Switzerland and the Netherlands, as well as in South America, Central America and South Africa.
Career Highlights
As a guest chorographer Teresa has worked at Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken and with the Ballet der Deutschen Oper am Rhein. She made her opera directing debut with Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Greek (Konzert Theater Bern). For many years she worked as an opera choreographer at the Staatsoper Wien and the Volksoper Wien, while notable credits elsewhere include Das Rheingold and Die Walküre (Budapest Wagner-Tage/Adam Fischer), and Rigoletto and La bohème (Opéra Bastille, Paris/dir: Claus Guth).
Recent directing credits: Der gestiefelte Kater (Puss in Boots), Aschenputtel (Cinderella) (Theater Biel/Solothurn) and the musical Cabaret (Schlosstheater Celle).
