Trevor Eliot Bowes

Trevor Eliot Bowes was born in Canada and studied at the University of Toronto and RSAMD. He is currently one of Barbara Hannigan’s Equilibrium Young Artists.
Previously at ENO: Pritschitch The Merry Widow, Ben Benny Paul Bunyan, A Cappadocian Salome, Policeman Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Henchman Rigoletto, Jose Castro The Girl of the Golden West. Other credits include a recording of Balfe’s Satanella (Arimanes) under Richard Bonynge (Naxos), Figaro in Paisiello’s The Barber of Seville and Fabrizio La Locandiera (New Chamber Opera).
Career Highlights
Trevor has performed in St Petersburg, Moscow and Hamburg as Fedro in Mattheson’s Boris Goudenow for Early Music Russia, and in Strasbourg for Le Parlement de Musique.
Notable engagements elsewhere: Lakai Ariadne auf Naxos (Opera Holland Park); Silvano Un ballo in maschera (Grange Park Opera); Formerly a full-time member of Opera North, highlights include Talbot Maria Stuarda opposite Sarah Connolly, and the Drum-maker in Jonathan Dove’s The Adventures of Pinocchio. He has also performed Marschallin’s Footman/Boots Der Rosenkavalier (Glyndebourne). Concert performances include Messiah (London Handel Festival), Thief Peer Gynt (RSNO), Bach Cantatas under Helmuth Rilling in Toronto and Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on Christmas Carols with ENO under Martyn Brabbins.
