Career Highlights
Allison’s reputation has been achieved through a series of significant debuts, as well as the extension of her original mezzo repertoire, which includes Marie Wozzeck, the Duchess of Argyll Powder Her Face, Judith Bluebeard’s Castle, Marquise de Merteuil in Francesconi’s Quartett, Schoenberg’s Erwartung and Kaija Saariaho’s Emilie. These roles have taken her to many of the world’s most prominent theatres, including Teatro alla Scala, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Salzburger Landestheater and the ROH.
Highlights this season include her role debut as Salome in Adena Jacobs’s new production at ENO as well as the world premiere performances of Casablancas’ Enigma De Lea (Gran Teatre del Liceu). Elsewhere she reprises Judith (Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos) and takes Joe Hill Gibbins’s acclaimed production of Turnage’s Greek to the Brooklyn Academy of Arts.
In concert she adds Berio’s Folk Songs (Bilkent Symphony Orchestra) and Pierrot Lunaire (Ensemble Signal) at the Library of Congress, Washington, to her repertoire.
