Graeme Lauren

Tenor

Graeme Lauren studied at the RSAMD and was awarded a Sir James Caird Travelling Scholarship to further his studies at the GSMD and the Britten–Pears School. He joined the ENO Chorus in 1989.

Career Highlights

Graeme is also a singing teacher and an accredited assistant to the vocal coach, Yvie Burnett.

Understudies for ENO include: Brigella Ariadne on Naxos, Brother Clarissa, Squeak Billy Budd, Voiceova Mr Brouček, Staff Officer The Silver Tassie, Rajah Bimmey On the Town, Liverotto Lucrezia Borgia and Third Jew Salome. During a sabbatical from ENO he performed the roles of Asparagus and Old Deuteronomy in the West End production of Cats.

Notable engagements elsewhere: Fenton Falstaff (Dartington Festival); Bob Boles Peter Grimes (Kent Opera).

Notable concert work includes: Messiah (RAH), Mozart Requiem (QEH) and he has frequently performed for the Scottish American Foundation in Manhattan, New York.
