Jorge Imperial
Sound Designer
Jorge Imperial is a sound engineer, sound designer and sound producer with over 25 years of experience. He began his career in a recording studio, where he recorded and produced dozens of famous Portuguese bands.

Career Highlights
Jorge was one of the sound engineers at Expo 98, with over 11 million visitors; Expo 98’s 5000 musical events made it one of the biggest musical festivals in history. Subsequently, he was invited to a senior position at Lugar Comum, an artistic experimentation centre, where he was responsible for audio, video and lighting. At Centro Cultural de Belém and Culturgest (Lisbon’s main cultural and conference centres) he operated numerous live presentations of the most prestigious jazz bands and orchestras. With many years of experience as a freelancer engineer, he has operated hundreds of live concerts, accompanying Portuguese bands in their national and European tours. After being in Qatar for three years leading the sound team at QNCC, he joined ENO in 2016 as Sound Supervisor.
