Career Highlights
Recent engagements include: Iago Otello (Atlanta Symphony); Songfest (BBCSO, Barbican, and BBCSSO,Glasgow); Celebrant in Bernstein’s Mass (Mostly Mozart Festival, New York).
Previous engagements include: Don Pizzaro Fidelio alongside Christine Goerke (Cincinnati Opera); Jokanaan Salome (Pittsburgh Opera) with Patricia Racette in the title role; Haydn’s The Creation (Atlanta Symphony). Appearing in Don Giovanni (title role) at Dorset Opera Festival in the UK brought him outstanding reviews, and he returned to Denver to join the cast of Opera Colorado’s Carmen as Escamillo, a role he repeats in Calgary, Canada. He enjoys a busy recording career spanning broad musical tastes. In addition to his Grammy-winning Naxos (Songs of Innocence and Experience) and Telarc (Transmigrations) releases, he has recorded for Universal Music Group/Decca (Songs of Delight) and Koch International (Amerindia). With Atlanta Symphony conducted by Robert Spano, he recorded Jennifer Higdon’s Dooryard Bloom, which was written for him, and Vaughan Williams’s Serenade to Music (Telarc).
