Mary Bevan graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, and the RAM Opera School.
Previously for ENO: Eurydice Orpheus in the Underworld, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Rebecca Two Boys, Barbarina, Susanna Figaro, Yum-Yum The Mikado, Papagena The Magic Flute, Second Niece Peter Grimes, Despina Cosi Fan Tutte.

Notable engagements elsewhere: Bellezza Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno (Royal Danish Opera); Rose Maurrant Street Scene (Teatro Real); Merab Saul (Adelaide Festival, directed by Barrie Kosky); title role in Rossi’s Orpheus (ROH at Shakespeare’s Globe); Yum-Yum, Zerlina, Elvira L’italiana in Algeri (Garsington Opera). She also created the role of Lila in the world premiere of David Bruce’s The Firework Maker’s Daughter (co-commissioned by The Opera Group, Opera North and ROH); UK premiere of Roxanna Panufnik’s Faithful Journey (CBSO); Mary in Sally Beamish’s The Judas Passion (OAE); Bach’s Christmas Oratorio on tour in Australia (Choir of London/Australian Chamber Orchestra); Messiah (Academy of Ancient Music); Carnegie Hall debut as Dalinda Ariodante (The English Concert).
