Rupert Charlesworth graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and enjoys a busy opera and concert career. He currently studies with Philip Doghan and was the winner of the 2013 Handel Singing Competition.

Recent engagements include: Mendelssohn Paulus (Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne); Messiah (Orchestra Symphonique de Montréal; La Cetra Barockorchester Basel); Mozart Mass in C minor(Camerata Salzburg); Lysander (Theater an der Wien, Tel Aviv Opera); Laertes Hamlet (Brett Dean/Glyndebourne); Marzio Mitridate (ROH); Bernstein’s A Quiet Place (Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal); Messiah (Le Concert Spirituel/Hervé Niquet); Handel’s Brockes Passion (Göttingen Handel Festival); and a recital at the Philharmonie de Paris.
