Allan Adams

Allan Adams had a successful career as a boy treble, he studied singing and violin at RSAMD, and continued his studies in London and Florence.
Previously for ENO: Notary The Barber of Seville, Fenton Falstaff, Don Riccardo Ernani and Corinthian/Captain Medea, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi, Goro and Reverend Adams Peter Grimes.
Career Highlights
Allan made his opera debut as Cecil Roberto Devereux with Roberto Alagna (Opéra de Monte Carlo). In Italy, he was a member of the chorus of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and won singing competitions there and at La Scala and Arena di Verona. On returning to the UK he founded Opera on a Shoestring in Glasgow. While Artistic Director there, he sang Don Ottavio and Alfredo.
He is teacher and vocal coach to many professional singers and is currently a member of the ENO Chorus.
Notable engagements elsewhere: Verdi Requiem, Rossini Stabat Mater, Elijah (Thurso); Dream of Gerontius (St George’s Chapel, Windsor; Festival Chorus, London); and Haydn’s Saint Nicholas Mass (Brighton Festival Chorus).
