Avery Amereau made her professional debut at the Metropolitan Opera as the Madrigal Singer Manon Lescaut, and has gone on to sing Bradamante Alcina (Hannover Staatsoper), Dryad/Ariadne (Glyndebourne), Olga Eugene Onegin (Santa Fe Opera), Ursula Béatrice et Bénédict (Seattle Opera), Cherubino (Grand Théâtre de Genève), Page Salome (Salzburg Festival) and Eduige Rodelinda (Opéra de Lille, Opéra de Lyon).

Career Highlights

Recent concerts include the world premiere of The Listeners by Caroline Shaw (Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra), Messiah (Labadie/National Arts Centre Orchestra), Dido and Aeneas (Early Opera Company at Amsterdam Concertgebouw), Vivaldi arias (Orchestra of St Luke’s, New York), and Bach’s St John Passion and Duruflé’s Requiem (Voices of Ascension, New York).

Highlights in the 2021/22 season include her ENO debut in production of The Handmaid’s Tale and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Egarr/Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra). Further ahead, she will join the professional ensemble at the Bayerische Staatsoper, and return to the Komische Oper, Berlin.

On the concert platform, she joins Les Violons du Roy and the Cleveland Orchestra. Her debut solo album of Handel arias with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra/ McGegan was released in 2020 to huge critical acclaim.
