Career Highlights
Claire was a Finalist and Winner of the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2021.
She won the Wagner Prize of the Netherlands and Junior Jury Prize at the International Vocal Competition, s’Hertogenbosch 2018, and participated in Operalia 2019 in Prague. She has sung at the 2016 Last Night of the Proms, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, at Wigmore Hall, Oper Frankfurt and Edinburgh International Festival.
Recent operatic engagements: Sosostris The Midsummer Marriage (London Philharmonic Orchestra); Dryad in concert performances of Ariadne auf Naxos (Edinburgh International Festival); house and role debut as Madam Flora in Menotti’s The Medium (Oper Frankfurt); her debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw singing Schumann’s Szenen aus Goethes ‘Faust’ conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Beethoven Symphony No. 9 (Rotterdam Sinfonia); 2nd Noble Orphan Der Rosenkavalier (Glyndebourne Festival); Annina La traviata (Glyndebourne Tour), where she was awarded the Wessex Glyndebourne Association Award, and created the role of Alto 1 in Stockhausen’s Mittwoch aus Licht (Birmingham Opera Company, BBC Proms).
