Elgan Llŷr Thomas joined the ENO Harewood Artist programme in 2017. After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music, Elgan joined Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist.

Career Highlights
Notable engagements elsewhere: In the 2018/19 Season, he made his house début with Opéra National de Bordeaux as Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia and his role debut as Tom Rakewell a semi-staged performance of The Rake’s Progress at the Klara Festival in Brussels, Ojai Festival in California and Aldeburgh Festival (Equilibrium Young Artists). He made his role debut as Dr Richardson Breaking the Waves (Scottish Opera) and performed the role of Spoletta in a semi-staged concert performance of Tosca at the Abu Dhabi Music Festival with Sir Bryn Terfel, Kristine Opolais. In the 2017/18 Season, he made his house debut as Rossini’s Almaviva at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris, and his role debut as Brighella Ariadne auf Naxos for Scottish Opera/Opera Holland Park. In 2016, he joined Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist and made his company and role debut as Nemorino in their touring production of The Elixir of Love.
