Emmanuelle Bastet started collaborating with Robert Carsen in 1989 and has subsequently worked on many of his productions.

Notable credits working with Robert Carsen: Faust, I Capuleti e Montecchi (Geneva); Lohengrin, Manon Lescaut, Nabucco, Alcina, Les contes d’Hoffmann, Rusalka (Opéra de Paris, Torino); Salome (Lyon); Le nozze di Figaro (Bordeaux and revivals in Tel Aviv, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Barcelona). She has also worked with Carsen on Orlando, Die Zauberflöte and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Festival d’Aix-en-Provence), and is reviving the Dream in Lyon, Strasbourg, Opéra Comique, Barcelona, Bergen, La Scala and at Aix, where the production was first created. She has worked with Yannis Kokkos on productions including Boris Godunov (Paris), Die fliegende Holländer (Bologna), Pelléas et Mélisande (Bordeaux, Montpellier, Toulouse); Iphigenie en Tauride (La Scala); Berio’s Outis, and Les Troyens (Châtelet, Geneva). Her own productions include: Così piccolo (a children’s show); L’Etoile (Angers-Nantes Opéra, Luxembourg, Nancy); Lucio Silla (Angers-Nantes, Bordeaux); Orphée et Eurydice, La traviata, Pelléas et Mélisande, Hansel and Gretel (Angers-Nantes). Recently, she staged A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bergen), Don Giovanni and Figaro (Cologne), and The Pearl Fishers and Hansel and Gretel (Nancy).
