Gabriella Cassidy

Soprano

British soprano Gabriella Cassidy was raised in Jersey, and trained at Chetham’s School of Music, the Wales International Academy of Voice and the Royal Northern College of Music.

Career Highlights

Gabriella made her ENO debut as Gilda Rigoletto and, most recently, sang and covered the
role of Eurydice Orpheus in the Underworld, as well as covering the roles of Queen Tye
Akhnaten and Hanna Glawari The Merry Widow.

Amongst her other appearances, she has sung Konstanze Die Entführung aus dem Serail for Diva Opera’s European tour and in Japan and, for the same company, Elvira L’Italiana in Algeri, Norina Don Pasquale, Barbarina Le Nozze di Figaro and Kate Pinkerton Madama Butterfly.

Other roles include Romilda Serse at the RNCM and in concert at the Iford Arts Festival, and
The Girl Handel Furioso (Grimeborn Festival). In concert, her appearances include Vivaldi
Gloria, Purcell Come ye sons of art, Mozart Requiem, Rutter Requiem, Handel’s Messiah,
Bach Cantatas at the RNCM and Handel Cantatas at The Foundling Museum (Handel
Institute). Most recently, she sang the soprano role in Green Eggs and Ham for Opera
North.
