Credits on Broadway include: The Sponge Bob Musical, Hedwig and The Angry Inch (Tony Award), Next to Normal, Spring Awakening (Tony Award), American Idiot (Tony Award), Hair, The 39 Steps (Tony Award), Take Me Out, Passing Strange, Everyday Rapture, Hedda Gabler and solo shows for Michael Moore, Eve Ensler and John Leguizamo.

Notable engagements elsewhere: the original production of Hedwig, Rent, Carrie, The Scottsboro Boys and new work by Tony Kushner, Edward Albee, Neil Simon, Terrence McNally and Christopher Durang. He has also designed Rigoletto and L’amour de loin (Metropolitan Opera) and Blue Man Group (Las Vegas Luxor Hotel, the Hollywood Bowl, international tour). His designs for the West End production of Spring Awakening received an Olivier nomination and a 2009 Knights of the Illumination Award.
