Michael Yeargan‘s work in London includes productions of Becket with Derek Jacobi and Robert Lindsay, Cyrano de Bergerac with Robert Lindsay, the ill-fated musical Napoleon and Bartlett Sher’s revival of South Pacific at the Barbican.
Previously for ENO: Porgy and Bess, Sets for Bartlett Sher’s world premiere production of Nico Muhly’s Two Boys.
Career Highlights
Notable engagements elsewhere: At the Royal Opera House, he has designed productions of Attila, Simon Boccanegra, Stiffelio and Aida, as well as productions for Scottish Opera, Opera North and WNO. He has worked extensively on and off Broadway and won Tony awards in set design for Light in the Piazza and South Pacific. He has designed over 10 productions at the Metropolitan Opera as well as new productions for opera companies the world over. He is also co-chairman of the Stage Design Department at the Yale School of Drama.
