The Handmaid's Tale Backstage Theatre Weekend
In Collaboration with Backstage Niche
Are you interested in what goes on behind the scenes? Are you a young person aged between 15–21? Then our backstage theatre weekend could be for you!
Over two jam-packed days you’ll work with young people from across London, and professional technicians from ENO, to explore what goes into making ENO’s production of The Handmaid’s Tale – a new operatic interpretation of Margaret Attwood’s acclaimed dystopian novel.
Learn the basics of backstage and technical theatre including lighting, costume and stage management, through demonstrations and practical activities led by members of Backstage Niche and the technical teams at English National Opera.
The weekend will take place in person at the London Coliseum on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April and is free if you sign up to our Under 21 ticket scheme. A ticket to The Handmaid’s Tale performance on the evening of 6 April is also included.
Applications are now closed.
